Día de los Muertos this Weekend @ St. Mark’s Church In-the-Bowery
Want to do something a little different from the typical Halloween festivities?
“Mano a Mano — a nonprofit group dedicated to Mexican culture — presents four days of spooky celebrations surrounding the Día de los Muertos. Bookended by the creation and dismantling of an elaborately decorated altar, the long weekend features a dance procession on Thursday night, along with workshops and performances from Friday through Sunday. Create ghoulish crafts out of paper or learn to build a sugar skull, bake a loaf of Day of the Dead bread, and then grab a seat for an evening of creepy storytelling or traditional fandango.” [via flavorpill]
